Open Access Week: Into the Open, A conversation about affordable education resources In-Person
Join the Libraries and WUSA as we explore the impact of open educational resources (OER). From 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., a panel of instructors and students will share their experiences creating, using and learning from OER. The instructors will discuss how they've used OER, and the opportunities and challenges OER present for teaching. Student panellists will reflect on how OER has shaped their learning.
From 12 – 12:30 p.m., enjoy refreshments and mingle with students and faculty.
Everyone is welcome to attend this in-person event. Please register to help us facilitate refreshments. If you have accommodation requests or questions, reach out to libevents@uwaterloo.ca with your needs.

Lauren Byl is the copyright & licensing librarian at the University of Waterloo, a role she’s held since 2015. She spends half of her time helping faculty, staff and students understand copyright, the other half negotiating library licenses. Byl is also the administrator of the Staebler Insurance OER Fellows Grant.
